Six Strategies to Balance a Leader's Life for Confidence, Energy and Thriving



“Do I have what it takes to be a leader?”

This is a question multiple leadership coaching clients have voiced in sessions in the last six months.

Leadership is demanding, no doubt about it. It would be abnormal to not ask yourself this question periodically. Especially at the beginning.

I encourage clients that self-doubt isn't always a sign of weakness or wrong fit.

It's a sign you're growing and a flag that you're feeling vulnerable. It can also be a sign that something needs to shift in your task load to be more aligned with your unique leadership talents and style.

I find that when leaders face this reflection, two things need to happen:

  • They need to reconnect with their unique leadership talents and style.

  • They need to rebalance their duties, routines and boundaries to enhance those talents and that style.
